Saw this sign earlier today at the entrance to Delacarlia Parkway, a one-mile stretch of concrete roadway in Northwest DC, badly in need of repair.

“The Money Is Flowing”? I’ve driven from coast-to-coast and I saw these signs on numerous interstate freeways and highways. Just as seen in the picture posted on this Blogever, not once did I see anyone doing any work near any of these signs. Several times recently when I drove through Utah there was an amazing amount of obviously high-quality road construction being done – the irony being I never saw one of these “PUTTING AMERICA TO WORK” signs adjacent to any of Utah’s road work projects. “The Money is Flowing” (money to put up signs which imply “the money is flowing”. What the sign really means is “If you want a shovel-ready job … you’d better dig a hole all the way to China, because that’s the only place where Obama aided by Jeffrey Immelt and G.E. are creating jobs.
